Cirst and India India showing how women need to be dressed
This morning India, Cirst and I went to the Grand mosque. The mosque is open from 8 till 11 so we had an early start (about 9: 30), again the taxi ride cost only 2 Rials and it was still 3 or 4 miles (looking forward to getting my own transport though). If you are going to visit the mosque Dress very conservatively: Men, trousers and long sleeved shirt, women: trousers, long sleeved blouse and something to cover their head (pashminas are cheap to buy here). Read the signs so that you don’t offend any of the locals. It is free to wander round the mosque and the workmanship is fantastic. It is a massive place (see photographs) and you need to take your time as only the main temple is air conditioned. Although I took a lot of photos I am looking forward to going back for another visit.
Just chilled out this afternoon, going to watch the match at the Intercontinental Hotel tonight so will continue tomorrow.
